This week's Friday preacher of Tehran added, "The Americans and those who wish to be puppeteer by them need to heed two points: ratification of the first resolution bore no benefits for you. You passed a resolution but also noticed that it was absolutely of no value."

He added, "The people have thanks God, led their normal lives, having not retreated the slightest bit, and the Government, too, has not backed up. On the eve of the (Iranian) New Year the people are quite calmly preparing themselves for the Norouz holidays, as if nothing has happened. If you would pass ten more resolutions, too, you would gain no more."

The worshipers at this point chanted "Allaho Akbar" (God is the Greatest), "Down with Opponents of Supreme Leader", "Down with Israel" and "Down with USA" slogans, confirming Khatami's remarks.

Hojjatoleslam Khatami further emphasized, "We repeat what we had earlier said about the peaceful nature of our nuclear program and that "we are not after taking military advantage of this technology. We also assure you that we will not compromise over our national right," and advise you, "It is to your own benefit to come to negation table with no preconditions."

He reiterated, "Beware! Our nation is fully harmonized with our government regarding Iran's nuclear program. The program is being pursued wisely, based on our interests, and in a way to preserve out prestige, relying on leadership of the Supreme Leader."

ADVISE FOR SOME GROUPS
Referring to the massive Bahman 22nd nationwide rallies marking the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the provisional Friday prayer leader of Tehran said, "The people shouted in that national rally that they would not yield to any compromise over their right."

Hojjatoleslam Khatami further reiterated, "The Westerners had hoped that by passing a resolution against Iran they would foment disputes inside the country, but thanks God, you see that they have failed in achieving that objective."

Tehran preacher this week added, "I advise some segregated groups from the nation to take lessons from the fate of the MKO leaders and sympathizers, and to take not how those who separated their path from the nation fell preys in the nets of the US and others."

He reiterated, "The fate of those who would deviate from the nation's path not would be different from the MKO's fate."  (irn/dar)
