Launching Color Qur'an

A color Qur’an was launched Sunday (30/7) at the Southeast Sulawesi’s governor office at an occasion of the 21st National Qur’anic Art Competition (MTQ). The color qur’an made in India is now in an Islamic Boarding “Pesantren” School Ummushabri, Kendari.

Abdul Karim Aburaraera, Head of the National Conference of the MTQ explained, the color Qur’an was an innovative method as a guidance of recitation of the Qur’an correctly.

In it, there are 7 certain colors as signs of proper pronunciation for correct recitation of the Qur’an (tajwid).

Seminar about the Qur’an
The MTQ followed by 2.563 participants from 33 provinces of Indonesia, also conducted a national seminar dealing with a theme of on how to build nation’s character based on Qur’anic values.

Present at the occasion as speakers, Director General of Bimas Islam of the Department of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nazaruddin Umar, talking about religion and problems related to the nation’s character building; Dr H Akhsin Sakho, Chairman of NU Qur’anic Readers and Reciters Association (Jam’iyyatul Qurra’ wal Huffadz), discussing about the excellence of nation’s character based on the Qur’an; Dr. Muslim Abdurrahman, talking more about the building of nation’s culture in accordance with Qur’anic values in global era; and Rector of State Islamic University (UIN) Alaudin Makasar.

The seminar was attended by Heads of LPTQ (Institute for Qur’anic Development) across Indonesia, Regional Office of the Department of Religious Affairs, academes, Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), religious organizations, and a number of clerics. (fid/nam)
