University students of entirely Indonesia’s High Institutes will conduct a meeting at Nusantara Islamic University (Ubinus), Bandung, West Java on July 23 to 25.

The forum is conducted in the form of National Seminar and Student Executive Board Congress (BEM). It purposefully raise a theme: Educational Revitalization of Nahdlatul Ulama in Realizing a Civilizing Indonesia’s Society.

“All sectors can be improved if the education develops. Problems of poverty can be eradicated if the education is managed seriously,” said organizing committee and is student president of Ubinus Ramli Masdari to NU Online in Jakarta, Wednesday (19/7).

The forum will at least be attended by 300 students representing all Student Executive Boards of NU universities throughout the country.

Present also at the forum numbers of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) such as Ma’arif Educational Institution of Nahdlatul Ulama, Minister of Education, Minister of Religious Affairs, Commission II of Haouse of Representatives, and delegates of West Java Governor’s Office.

The congress will reportedly discuss about the developments of NU High Institutes. Among others are discussing about the forming of cadres within the NU milieu. (nam)
