Internal conflict of two sides of the National Awakening Party (PKB) has likely made numbers of Nahdlatul Ulama clerics (kiai) disappointed including KH A Mustofa “Gus Mus” Bisri.

He suggested on Friday (15/6) that the conflict would not be ended if the two sides of the PKB constantly blame each other. Both were expected to come back to a negotiation table to immediately solve the dispute.

<>The negotiation, the leader of Rembang’s Islamic Boarding “Pesantren” School of Raudlatut Thalibin added, should be based on the two parties’ initiatives to reconcile, not be based on outsiders.

“Though it remains two days before judgement day, it (conflict) wouldn’t end,” Gus Mus said.

He expected both sides not to involve outsiders (government) in overcoming the party’s conflict. That’s why, the PKB of Abdurrahman “Gus Dur “Wahid-Muhaimin Iskandar and Abdurrahman Chudlori-Choirul Anam should realize that though through any law process in solving its internal conflict, there would be such following one.

“Sit down (at negotiation table) please, we are all brothers, seek what to speak. If not all, at least Gus Dur, clerics, (Choirul) Anam, Muhaimin (Iskandar), and Saiful (Yusuf),” Gus Mus said. (gpa/rif)
