Chairman of the East Java's NU Regional Board (PWNU) KH Mutawakkil Alallah said here Tuesday (12/5) that he would improve the mechanism of recruitment and distribution of NU cadres through political channels.
"We will recruit cadres without paying more attention to their political parties but more on the quality of the cadres," Kiai Mutawakkil said, adding the most important thing in regard with the cadre recruitment was the quality of cadres regardless of once again their political parties.<>
He said that because of political parties there had so far been frictions in the body of NU. All this, he added, was due to such considerations as economy, pragmatism, political orientation and the absence of a good cadre recruitment mechanism.
While the concept of the cadre recruitment would be discussed by NU executive and advisory board members of the PWNU in its annual meeting in July 2009 ahead. "We also request feedbacks from NU regional leadership communication forum (Fospida)," he said.
Through the mechanism and the cadre distribution, Kiai Mutawakkil said, those having political ambition and not following the mechanism would be considered to have violated the rules. (beritajatim.com/mad)
