Kiai Muchith: It's difficult for NU followers to leave politics

The supreme council of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Muchith Muzadi said that it was still difficult for NU followers (Nahdliyin) to leave politics for their powerful political instincts.
According to kiai Muchith, political situation at home was generally closed to Nahdliyin due to political education has not remained mature yet.
"(Political) parties are easily vulnerable to break," kiai Muchith told NU Online in Jember, East Java, Wednesday (16/1), adding that many would initiate new parties for existing disapproprateness.
While political attitute of the Nahdliyin, he added, tended to count on a figure rather than political programs. "What is important to take into account is first of all where does the political party move on and not its figure." (sbh)
