General chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Hasyim Muzadi said here Monday that there were certain parties that cause certain parties enjoying the benefit of the chaotic list of voters (DPT) in the April 9 election.

Hasyim said all this should not be a means of merely accusing the General Elections Commission (KPU) and all polling bodies (KPUD) at the provincial and regency/municipal levels. Rather it related to those deliberately designing the confusing DPT.<>

The leader of the Malang's Al Hikam Islamic boarding school (Pesantren) said the rocketing of people who do not have their names on the voter list had violated human rights and could re considered as a disgrace of the nation.

As reported a representative of the Jakarta election monitoring committee (Panwaslu) said Sunday the institution had received 12 complaints of criminal violations and eight administrative violations during the election period.

Ishma Ulfasari said an exposition of the 12 cases had not yet been done as the Panwaslu was still researching the citywide matters.

"The research should not take long, perhaps it will be done by next week and we can proceed with a formal hearing of the alleged cases," Ulfasari told tempointeraktif.com.

She said of the several reports lodged with Panwaslu, one included a transfer of voting invitations from Petojo to Tanah Tinggi in Central Jakarta as well as the addition of 16 previously unregistered 'paid voters' to the fixed voter list (DPT) in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta. (min)
