Russia-Islamic world to discuss global issues

Alliance of world civilizations initiated by Russia and scores of world Islamic figures held on Wednesday (30/8) the second meeting of the Group of the Strategic Vision Russia-Islamic World Program in Kazan, Russia, Russia to take up humanism and world issues.

The established alliance that is not aimed at opposing to the West countries is expected to be able to seek brilliant solution dealing with the recent global issues. It purposefully aims to cultivate favorable relationship in handling the emerging upheavals.

<>“I think, the possibility of the civilization conflict, as for us is as important as nuclear issues or biological environment. And, in the recent world life, we live in a boat, so that everybody has to endeavor on how to create the peaceful world,” said Viniamin Popov, Special Envoy and coordinator of the forum.

According to Popov, at the coming third meeting, Russia would extend its membership from formerly 20 men of 17 countries.

“We will extend participants by inviting China, India, US, and Latin America. We will discuss entirely world issues though the results just  as recommendations to the United Nations for instance,” he said.

While in Moskwa, a Muslim cleric Ravil Gaynuddin suggested that the forum has proven that Russia has such interest and seen the importance of Islam within the world constellation.

“As said by President Putin, the presence of Russia to be researcher at the Organization of Islamic Conference is really important. It means, the president has far come forward to overcome the world issues,” Ravil added. (kom/dar)
