The Special Branch Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PCINU) of Sudan would hold a religious gathering to pray for Palestinians especially those living in the Gaza Strip and brutally being attacked by Israeli troops.

The gathering was part of a series of activities in commemorating the 83rd anniversary of the Nahdliyin-based organization, Nahdlatul Ulama. It would reportedly be held at the Wisma Nahdliyah, Ma'muroh, Block 63, Khartoum, Sudan on Friday (16/01) ahead.<>

The minister of religious affairs and waqf, scores of ulema of Sudan, the supreme council of PCINU and the Indonesian ambassador to Sudan Eritria are also scheduled to attend the gathering.

"I hope the commemoration of the NU 83rd anniversary will further cultivate the relationship between Indonesian people in Sudan and the Sudanese people and government so that they can know more about true NU rituals," the organizing committee chief Muhammad Shohib Rifa'i told NU Online recently.
