International NU Branch Boards compete to support Yogyakarta and Central Java's victims

Last Saturday, the leader of Malaysia's NU Special Branch (PCI NU) represented by M Helmy bin Hasbullah Abdul Syakur visited to Humanitarian Solidarity Team's post (TSK) and welcomed by KH Munawir AF, deputy of Advisory Council of Regional Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) Yogyakarta. Helmy was concern with Saturday's earth quake hit both Yogyakarta and Central Java.
Helmy, who is also Deputy Excecutive Council of Malaysia's PCI said, his visiting to Yogyakarta was to address deep solidarity of Malaysia's nahdliyin to the victims.
<>"Most of NU students who living in Malaysia are Yogyakarta's graduates. So, we are shockingly concern with the disaster." Helmy said.At the same time, he handed over fund collected by Malaysia's PCI NU amounted to Rp 10 millions and personal aid amounted to RM 50.
besides Malaysia's PCI NU, several days before, both Australian and Japan PCI NU had also handed over the aid to Yogyakarta's victims. Each of them amounted to Rp 19 millions and Rp 11 millions.
NU TSK Coordinator, Munsoji said, the aid of three PCIs would be distributed to the very damaged regions as a result of the disaster, such as Imogiri, Pleret, and Bambanglipuro to transitional needs dealing with the rebuilding of vilagers' houses and closely assisting children and old age people.
