KH Hasyim Muzadi appointed as deputy general chairman of syuriyah

A team specially designed to name figures to take part in new management of the Indonesia's largest Muslim organization Nahdlatul Ulama for the period 2010-2015 ended Monday.
The team appointed former general chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Hasyim Muzadi as deputy general chairman of the legislative board (syuriyah) of the religious social organization.<<>br />
The team held a meeting at the residence of the newly elected general chairman of syuriyah (rais aam) KH Sahal Mahfudz, Maslakul Huda Islamic boarding school (pesantren), Kajen, Pati on Monday.
It is likely different from previous management, for today's management there are two deputy rais aam, namely KH Hasyim Muzadi and KH Musthofa Bisri (Gus Mus).
Based on a list of the PBNU board members sent to NU Online, another NU prominent figure KH Tolchah Hasan will serve as member of the Supreme Council (Mustasyar) of PBNU.
Other NU figures named as chairmen of syuriyah are KH Sanusi Baco, KH Ma'ruf Amin, KH Mas Subadar including KH Masdar F. Mas'udi.
While KH Malik Madani will serve as secretary of legislative board (syuriyah) of PBNU and be accompanied by such figures as Ichwan Syam, Musthofa Aqil, Kafabihi Mahrus Ali, Mujib Qolyubi, Yahya Staquf, Solahuddin al Ayyubi and Ishom Yuski. (nam)
