The Nahdlatul Ulama Special Branch Board (PCI NU) of Australia-New Zeland has recently been registered in Australian Department of Justice.
The public acknowledgment over the existence of the Nahdliyin-based organization could be traced through its newly registration in the department of justice in the name NU Australia Incorporated and association number A04715.<>
Chairman of the PCI NU Australia-New Zeland Eko Z Ernada made the statement in his press release received by NU Online on Tuesday (8/4).
According to Eko, the registration of the PCI NU in the country led by PM Kevin Rudd would pave the way for further NU movement. Besides, the registration may be used by all board members to conduct any NU activities and hold such meetings with other organizations.
Eko said as a consequence of the registration, the PCI NU must deliver its annual financial report and added that the treasure of the PCI NU had opened bank account in St George Bank.
"Next the bank account can be used to finance activities facilitated by the PCI NU Australia-New Zeland," he said.
Eko added the PCI NU had so far developed religious preaching of Islam Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja) by involving preachers and religious leaders (ustadz) to disseminate Aswaja's line of thoughts in the country. (rif)
