Iran's envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency Ali Asghar Soltanieh said on Thursday (31/8) that the latest report of the IAEA Chief Mohammad ElBaradei shows Iran's cooperation with the agency.
He told Irna that the report is the shortest report of the agency on Iran and added that it is indicative of the compliance of Iran's nuclear activities with the UN atomic body's norms and regulations.
<>The report, he said, has pointed to the fact that the IAEA observers have full access to Iranian facilities with no barriers in surveying and checking the sites. He added that the report refers to 164 cascade centrifuges and Natanz activities and says the uranium enrichment up to 5 percent has been realized.
Soltanieh also noted that Iran has voluntarily carried out its well-intentioned activities for three years and this action was a response to the historic mistake committed with respect to its nuclear activities.
ElBaradei on Thursday issued his report on Iran at the request of the UN Security Council.
The Council had asked the agency to prepare a report on Iran's response to a request to halt enrichment activities. (dar)
