The Nahdlatul Ulama Higher Education Institution (LPTNU) launched an online learning service application NEO Learning Management System (LMS) on Thursday (9/9/2021). The application available in collaboration with PT Pramudya Waddah Cendikia is intended to make it easier for students, especially the Nahdliyin during the Covid-19 pandemic.

NEO is a learning management system (LMS) that makes it easy to create and manage all learning activities, including in building online classes, grading students, enhancing collaboration, or tracking achievement.

"This online learning system reform includes the use of an effective platform, because we know that there are 274 NU campuses for the development investment structure, which is very expensive," LPTNU Chairman Muhammad Afifi told NU Online here on Thursday (9/9/2021).

He explained that the service aimed at making it easier for educators and students to manage teaching and learning activities in the classroom. This service could be downloaded on the Play Store and/or App Store, with a relatively affordable price, which is in the range of IDR 10,000-20,000.

"With the minimum achievement value, users could access all content, it could also be used asynchronously," he explained, adding that another exciting thing was that this online learning service application was equipped with Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah Annahdliyah content such as Aswaja courses, NU matters, tahlil tutorials and so fourth.

The presence of this application is expected to be able to bridge the vision of LPTNU, which is to spread the teachings of Islam rahmatan lil alamin.

"Hopefully there is a vision for the spread of Jam'iyah Annahdliyah, Islam Nusantara, which is indeed our fundamental vision," Afifi hoped.

Meanwhile the President Director of PT Pramudya Waddah Cendikia, Siti Nur Zaqiah added, this application had advantages, namely providing space. In addition to being accessible and intended for students and teachers, a personalized dashboard was also provided for parents.

"So, this NEO LMS does not only involve students and teachers, but also involves parents to monitor the development of their children," Zaqiah said.

So technically, she continued, teachers could invite the students they teach to join the classroom, then give assignments and tests, to see the results and progress of student learning.

"Every learning result could be directly seen and accessed by parents," she added.
