“The constantly conflict of PKB has really disturbed NU followers at grass root. The PKB should realize it,” said the Secretary General of Anshor Youth Movement Abdul Malik Haramain at a National Assembly and Major Conference of NU in Surabaya, Friday (28/7).
<>He admitted that the NU followers constitute the Party’s largest supporters though since its establishment it has proclaimed itself as an open political party.
“The PKB should fully realize that the internal conflict within it has disturbed solidity and created fragmentation of NU followers at grass root level, Malik said.
He pointed out that the young-based organization urged the two sides of the political party to immediately end its internal conflict. Even, he added, it can urge the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) to be facilitator and mediator of PKB’s reconciliation.
The former Chairman of Indonesian Muslim Students Organization (PMII) suggested that the solution of the party’s conflict was not merely based on law considerations. “That’s why, the solution should be comprehensive through a reconciliation facilitated by PBNU,” he added. (rif)
