Wafa Patria Ummah, one of General Chairwoman candidates of Nahdlatul Ulama Girl Students Association (IPPNU) suggested that she’d like to prioritize the purposeful programs especially that related to mass cadre strengthening at grass root level if she wins the voters.

The statement was said by Wafa to NU Online after attending the opening ceremony of IPNU Congress XV and IPPNU’s XIV in Asrama Haji, pondok Gede, Bekasi, Monday (10/7).

The Jakarta born-girl on April 9 1977 realized that at present the NU girl students based-organization is being in cadre crisis. “IPPNU is now in cadre crisis.” Due to the fact if the Congress supports her, she “would prioritize on basis strengthening.”

Responding to the statement of the General Chairman of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Hasyim Muzadi respecting the IPPNU to be cadre organization, Wafa pointed out her approval. For her, it’s a consequence if IPPNU would constantly like to come into existence.

“Yes, I do agree with what said by Pak Hasyim. It’s a consequence if IPPNU would constantly like to come into being,” said Wafa, is now as second Secretary of IPPNU.

The Postgraduate student of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Indonesian University said that the lowest Representative Council Board/Komisariat) could ideally be the very strategic umbrella to strengthen cadre basis. “We’ll reactivate komisariat as the very strategic umbrella of cadre,” she said.

She also paid more attention to communication system between central board and regional. “There should be such a change, between central dan regional should be in synergy,” Wafa added. (rif)
