Ready to Run, IPNU's Eight, IPPNU's Two Names

Since the IPNU and IPPNU Congress opened in Asrama Haji, Pondok Gede, Bekasi, Monday (10/7), the competition between candidates was increasingly heating up. Eights names were surely ready to compete in winning general chairman position of Nahdlatul Ulama Students Association (IPNU), deputizing for Mujtahidur Ridlo, the recent chairman of IPNU.  

The eight names were Idy Muzayyad (Central Java), Fery Cokroaminoto (Central Sulawesi), Ahmad Wari (West Kalimantan), Arif Rahman (Central Java), Dedy Arisandi (Jakarta), Nur Hidayat (East Java), Hilman Nawawi (Central Java), and Asep Endang (West Java).

“Yes, many candidates will race in the recent congress. They are now the best cadres of IPNU. Their competition is increasingly heating up,” said Organizing Committee Chief to NU Online in Congress arena.

From the eight names, there were popular name numbers for still sitting in important posts in IPNU, such as Idy Muzayyad and Fery Cokroaminoto.

While, the candidacy of general chairwoman of Nahdlatul Ulama Girl Students Association (IPPNU) was not likely as lively as IPNU. As this news raised, there have been only two names coming into existence, managed to win the highest position of the girl students based-organization, deputizing for Soraya Devi Zaeni. They were Wafa Patria Ummah (Jakarta) and Suci Mulyawati (Banten).  

Both of them were ready to race in a healthy competition. To NU Online they said that they had met NU prominent men, such as KH Abdurrahman “Gus Dur” Wahid, General Chairman of PBNU, KH Hasyim Muzadi, and so on. (rif)
