Inauguration of 2022-2027 PBNU in East Kalimantan marks new building declaration at IKN

The Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) for the 2022-2027 period will be inaugurated at the Dome Building, Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan, at the end of January 2022. The inauguration also opens a series of events for NU's 96th Anniversary based on the Gregorian calendar to the NU's 99th Anniversary based on hijriyah on 16 Rajab 1443 (17 February 2022).

 

Chairman of the PBNU Inauguration Committee H Saifullah Yusuf explained that the inauguration and the opening of the NU anniversary would be attended by President Joko Widodo and Vice President KH Ma'ruf Amin, as well as all PBNU administrators. This event would be broadcast live through NU's official social media channels, so that all NU members throughout Indonesia could participate in it.

 

"Later in East Kalimantan, there will be a declaration of a new PBNU building in the state capital (IKN) by the general chairman and a meeting with NU members in Penajam Paser Utara. God willing, it will be done on January 30, 2022," said the man who is familiarly called Gus Ipul, in a galawicara broadcast on TVNU, on Tuesday (25/1/2022).

 

The agenda for the PBNU management inauguration will be held the next day, on January 31, 2022. Then it will be followed by an inaugural meeting chaired by the supreme leader (Rais 'Aam) of PBNU KH Miftachul Akhyar and General Chairman of PBNU KH Yahya Cholil Staquf.

 

Deputy Chairman of the East Kalimantan Nahdlatul Ulama Regional Management (PWNU) Syaparudin said that he had coordinated with various parties, as an effort to prepare for the inauguration.

 

"Started with a meeting with the Governor of East Kalimantan (Isran Noor) in Samarinda. After that, we take steps to coordinate with various parties. PCNU with the Balikpapan city administration, accompanied by the PBNU to take technical steps to make this inauguration successful," he explained.

 

Together with PCNUs and delegates from PBNU, the PWNU of Kaltim has also coordinated with the PCNU of Balikpapan City and will held talks with the Mayor of Balikpapan Rahmad Mas'ud, and meet with the Balikpapan Regional Police (Polda).

 

"Alhamdulillah, all of them stated that they were ready to support the implementation of the PBNU inauguration. God willing, tomorrow, Wednesday, we will be invited by the East Kalimantan Regional Police, together with other relevant government agencies and OPD (regional apparatus organizations) to prepare for the inauguration of PBNU in Balikpapan," explained Syaparudin.
